Prof. Dr. Jan Rummel
Prof. Dr. Jan Rummel holds a Heisenberg Professorship at Heidelberg University since September 2019 and is head of the General Psychology and Cognitive Self-Regulation Research Grpup.
The research group, which is located at the Department of Psychology, focuses on the research area of cognitive self-regulation. In this context, Jan Rummel is primarily concerned with human attention and memory processes and the associated ability to self-regulated remembering and forgetting.
Jan Rummel (born 1980) completed his studies in psychology at theHeidelberg University and received his doctoral degree from the University of Marburg in 2011. Prior to his current position, he conducted research at the University of Mannheim and Furman University in Greenville (USA), among other places.
In the Climate Action Science project, he is primarily dedicated to the investigation of psychological factors influencing climate action decisions of individuals.
